Pacific Coastal Airlines is seeking permanent full time Flight Attendants based in Vancouver. The ideal candidates will enjoy a dynamic and rewarding work environment. We are excited to welcome safety-oriented and customer service minded individuals to start their careers with our company.

Pacific Coastal Airlines (PCA) headquarters are located in the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. PCA also has operations out of the YVR International Terminal operating within our Capacity Purchase Agreement (CPA) with WestJet Airlines under the banner - WestJet Link. We fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities in the province of British Columbia and Alberta.

PCA Flight Attendants are the ambassadors of the company. They are responsible for providing outstanding service to our customers, ensuring their safety, security and comfort at all times. Job Descriptions:

  • Attend preflight briefings on details of the flight
  • Ensure the safety, security and comfort of all passengers and guests at all times
  • Ensure all safety equipment is checked prior to departure and monitored during the flight
  • Greet passengers in a friendly and professional manner
  • Explain safety procedures, demonstrate the use of emergency equipment, direct passengers in the event of incidents or emergencies
  • Deliver onboard and inflight announcements as required
  • Attend to safety of passengers during all phases of flight
  • Provide onboard service of snacks and beverages, and ensure that all necessary supplies are on board
  • Answer questions about the flight, attend to passengers' needs, particularly those with special needs
  • Administer first aid to passengers or coordinate first aid efforts, when needed
  • Submit reports on the cabin condition, as well as on any medical problems or irregular occurrences that happen during the flight
  • Operate safety and emergency equipment such as fire extinguishers, galley equipment, communication and lighting equipment, oxygen systems and aircraft doors
  • Follow and enforce standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with Pacific Coastal Airlines and regulatory requirements
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Previous Flight Attendant experience or training is preferred
  • Customer Service experience (minimum 1-2 years)
  • Valid Canadian Passport
  • Must be able to obtain a Transport Canada issued Restricted Area Identity Card
  • Must be comfortable working in confined spaces and close proximity to public
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Must complete an intensive initial training program complete with ground training, practical drills and emergency drills as well as first aid and live firefighting with successful passing grades
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
  • Travel away from home, any time, any day and any hour
  • Capable and wiling to work on your feet for majority of your days and nights

  • Excellent communication skills, strong leadership abilities, professional image, diplomacy and friendliness
  • Ability to actively listen, empathize, ask questions, and respond in language that passengers, guests and clients understand
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and act decisively when dealing with stressful situations
  • Ability to manage conflicting priorities in a timely and professional manner
  • Work well unsupervised and in many different environments and settings
  • Ability to adjust to schedule changes, alternate working conditions and a variety of different environments both onboard and away from base

Note: Priority is given to applicants who have had previous Flight Attendant experience and/or training.
