Pacific Coastal Airlines has a new opportunity for an Inflight Supervisor (Flight Attendant Supervisor) to be based in Calgary, Alberta. The successful candidate will support our new operations in Southern Alberta. Pacific Coastal Airlines is headquartered at the South Terminal building at Vancouver International Airport. Under the Pacific Coastal banner we fly scheduled and charter service between busy international airports, remote destinations, and beautiful communities in the province of British Columbia. Our new operations in Southern Alberta create an exciting opportunity for candidates desiring to be based in the region to join the Pacific Coastal team.

This individual reports to the Flight Attendant Manager and is a key member of the Flight Operations department.

As a working member of the Inflight Service team, the Inflight Supervisor assists the Flight Attendant Manager and Flight Operations leadership team to ensure company compliance with all Transport Canada regulations relating to in-cabin safety. Key responsibilities for this position include assisting with inflight training, recruiting and overall supervision of Flight Attendants, ensuring that all aircraft cabins are in physical compliance with safety regulations & service standards, and ensuring all Flight Attendant manuals are current and in compliance with applicable regulations. In addition, the successful candidate will provide focus and training to support our passengers' onboard experience, including service delivery and onboard product (commissary).

The successful candidate has current experience as a Flight Attendant, has previous supervisory experience, and knowledge of Transport Canada regulations. Excellent leadership and management skills are required as well as strong communication and customer relations skills.



  • Supervise of all phases of Flight Attendant operations at YYC,
  • Promote a work environment that operates within Pacific Coastal Airlines core values, supports team effort, open communication, and continual improvement. 
  • Work closely with the Flight Attendant Manager to establish a clear overall business and operating strategy for the Inflight department. 
  • Administer all performance, attendance reporting, and corrective action to YYC-based Flight Attendants,
  • Analyze and evaluate Flight Attendant base operating performance and correct, or recommend corrective action, as appropriate,
  • Communicate and enforce company policies and procedures,
  • Manage Crew Scheduling and Flight Attendant scheduling conflicts,
  • Conduct Flight Attendant Line Checks and Line Indoctrinations when required,
  • Provide Inflight coaching for newly qualified Flight Attendants,
  • Assist with ground school training when required,
  • Distribute revisions and other mail items needed for YYC-based Flight Attendants, including providing guidance on revisions/safety bulletin insertions,
  • Provide on-call assistance to respond to emergencies, procedural questions, and resolve problems. Be available for 24/7 on-call duty phone.
  • Act as point of contact for base catering issues,
  • Liaise with other departments within the organization, ensuring that work processes are effective in delivering top quality safety and service,
  • Serve as a role model in upholding standards of excellence with regard to regulatory requirements, company policies and procedures, and grooming standards,
  • Maintain a network with other airline professionals to assist in best-practices information exchanges,
  • Maintain Flight Attendant qualifications and fly the line on a part-time, scheduled basis,
  • May be required to conduct performance reviews,
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by Flight Attendant Manager or Chief Flight Attendant, and
  • Ensure a high degree of confidentiality in all matters.


Education & Experience

  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience as a Flight Attendant
  • Must be able to qualify as a Flight Attendant and maintain currency of qualifications
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a RAIC pass

Skills, Knowledge & Abilities

  • Must be able to travel as operationally required, including overnights
  • Proven supervisory and training skills
  • Must have a highly approachable demeanor, ability to work with a diverse workforce. 
  • Ability to communicate with excellent listening and problem solving skills. Situations must be dealt with diplomatically and professionally.  
  • Excellent planning and time management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Promotes and secures adherence to policies that ensure the highest level of safety through the Inflight staff
  • Must have a highly approachable demeanor, ability to work with a diverse workforce. 
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of management and subordinates
  • Ability to work independently
  • Must have working knowledge of overall airport and crew operations
  • Knowledge of regulations and legislations (such as CARS, Canada Labour Code, etc.)
  • Intermediate technical skills in Microsoft Office
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds
